Where things stand

Dallas is now home to three Texas-based stock exchanges. NYSE Texas opened in March 2025. Nasdaq Texas, a dual-listing exchange, launched in March 2026. The Texas Stock Exchange, approved by the SEC in September 2025, started live trading in July 2026 and took its first company listings in October 2026. [1] [2] [2a] [3] [4]

As of Oct 24, 2026, no company has held an IPO on the Texas Stock Exchange. New exchange-traded funds have launched there, but company listings so far have been transfers or dual listings. An adviser to the exchange told Bloomberg in April 2026 that the first IPOs were expected in early 2027. [5] [6]

That hasn't kept Texas companies from going public in 2026. SpaceX (Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas), Fervo Energy (Nasdaq) and ERock (NYSE) are three of them. [7] [8] [9]
